Cleerline Technology Group has introduced the SSF-SERIAL-RUGGED, a two-piece, IP40-rated industrial converter that provides serial-to-fiber and fiber-to-serial conversion for harsh environments. Designed for use in weatherproof enclosures, outdoor lockers and other challenging locations, the converter allows integrators to leverage fiber infrastructure while maintaining connectivity with commercial and residential devices. It supports applications such as lighting, access control, automated pool covers and HVAC systems.

The SSF-SERIAL-RUGGED operates in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 75°C (-40°F to 167°F) and transmits over a single fiber, supporting both single-mode and multimode connections. It is sold as a matched pair for easy installation and reliable, extended serial connections. The converter supports a wide voltage input range (12V-52V) and meets IEC and EN standards for industrial-grade equipment.
