ClearOne Sells Camera Product Line
In order to stay focused on its core competencies in audio conferencing, ClearOne sold the company’s document and educational camera product line to Ken-A-Vision Manufacturing of Kansas City, Missouri. Under the terms of the transaction, Ken-A-Vision received the intellectual property rights to ClearOne’s camera technologies, as well as ownership of current inventory. The sale price was $635,000.
It looks like a good deal for both companies. ClearOne gets some cash, and Ken-A-Vision, which has been in education technology for more than 50 years, gets a new product line.
