Research and Markets issued a new report that suggests the Western Europe market for multimedia projectors will reach the saturation point in 2006, with Eastern Europe following just a few years later.

Could projector sales get any more competitive?

The report, Distribution Insight: Multimedia Projectors in Europe 2006, isn’t cheap (EUR 8,900) but it looks like the research company surveyed dealers to see what they expected to sell, and importantly, what they want from manufacturers. High technical quality is cited as the most important factor in choosing a manufacturer, so even without a lot of 1080p content, you would have to assume the manufacturers that are this year coming out with these HD projectors should fare the best among the European dealers.
