“We are looking forward to showcasing our full line at the CEDIA and Commercial Integrator Expos in Denver,” said Jason Fitzgerald, Blustream product manager. “We’ll highlight solutions addressing both residential and commercial applications, and give dealers the opportunity to learn more at our training session on Friday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. in room 709.”

At CEDIA Expo 2023, Blustream will have its family of video over IP solutions on display, from the 1080p Contractor series to the IP500UHD-TZ for SDVoE over a 10Gb managed network transceiver. The Blustream Dante-enabled IP350UHD transmitters and receivers will be featured in the booth, which transmit 4K UHD 60Hz 4:4:4 HDMI 2.0 with HDR at 18Gbps over a 1Gb network. With multiple configuration options available, the flexibility of Blustream’s video over IP solution makes this platform ideal for multiple installation types. Using lossless compression technology, Blustream video over IP delivers HDMI, IR, RS-232 and USB/KVM up to lengths of 100m over a single CAT cable. The IP350UHD-TX and IP350UHD-RX can support both 4K UHD 60Hz 4:4:4 video and Dante audio distribution on a single network. A second RJ45 connection allows the Dante audio network interface to be segregated from the video over IP network whenever required. They can either be powered via PoE from the network switch or locally. The transmitters and receivers leverage the new Blustream ACM210 control module to facilitate control with all leading automation brands and were specifically designed to deliver faster processing power while retaining backward compatibility with the existing Blustream IP50 and IP200 series.

Integrators will also see matrix solutions for every need, from the Contractor series to the Platinum 8×8 HDBaseT AV Matrix. The HMX88-18G 8×8 HDBaseT matrix switcher will be new at the show, which supports uncompressed 4K UHD 60Hz 4:4:4 resolution with 4k to 1080p downscaling. It provides eight HDMI inputs and eight HDBaseT outputs, with two HDMI loopouts, and extends IR, serial, and Ethernet with an audio return channel (ARC). The matrix switcher also allows users to control the system via web GUI, RS-232, IP, and IR. The latest HDBaseT 3.0 technology provides full support on every output for a no-compromise solution for extending and managing HDMI 2.0 AV sources. Other features include full Dolby Vision support and pixel-perfect reproduction of each input on a display. Its added Ethernet LAN distribution provides internet service to each destination — perfect for smart TVs. At the same time, ARC ensures audio can be routed back to the rack for distribution throughout the home. Advanced control capabilities, with direct serial control via the guest mode, make this an excellent pairing with any control platform and features native control in RTI systems.

Among the solutions for signal extension, Blustream will showcase the new 4K SDVoE over fiber solution, the FVE4K-KIT. This 4K HDMI over Fiber Extender Kit features SDVoE technology for uncompressed video to 4K UHD 60Hz 4:2:0, with minimal compression up to 18Gbps HDMI, 10Gb+ SFP+ connectivity to allow maximum flexibility for fiber interface, and 1Gbps LAN, IR, and RS-232 pass-through.

Audio solutions at the show will include Dolby and DTS downmixing options, eARC solutions and digital audio over CAT, and the PAC500AU for supporting analog audio over CAT. Solutions extend signals up to distances of 1640 feet over a single CAT cable. There will also be an extensive array of Dante networked audio solutions, including the NPA100DA networked power amplifier, DA44AU 4×4 digital audio converter and a line of encoders and decoders.

For integrators who have not yet experienced Blustream, Fitzgerald will host a training on Friday, Sept. 8 at 11 a.m. to show how Blustream delivers solutions to maximize integrator opportunities in each of the five pillars of AV distribution: extension, splitting, switching, matrixing and converting. He will show how the Blustream portfolio addresses each of these to “help integrators do more, do it better, and achieve smarter installations.” Register at the CEDIA Expo site.
