BirdDog Announces Apps for PTZ Camera Interface
BirdDog just announced a new suite of apps designed to make interfacing with BirdDog PTZ Cameras possible from iPad and iPhone, and viewing NDI sources on Android native TV’s and Chromecast with Google TV.
Designed to work with any NDI-enabled PTZ, from any manufacturer, NDI PTZ Control makes controlling NDI PTZ cameras easier than ever before. With an intuitive interface, users can access multiple PTZ cameras, move them around, set and recall camera pre-set PTZ positions, and view the camera live in the viewing window. When controlling BirdDog NDI PTZ cameras, the controls are even more powerful as Cam Control is built in giving access to all the color matrix tools available to that camera, allowing users to tune the cameras directly from an iPad or iPhone.
NDI PTZ Control supports all flavors of NDI including NDI HX2, and NDI HX3, as well as High Bandwidth NDI which can also be viewed in full screen in proxy, or high-quality, enabling iPads and iPhones to become NDI source monitors.
Built for Android TV and Chromecast with Google TV, NDI TV Monitor provides an easy and pain free way to view all NDI sources including NDI HX2, NDI HX3, and High Bandwidth NDI.
NDI sources are automatically detected and using your Television or Chromecast with Google TV remote control you can switch sources using the channel change button and use the up/don/left/right buttons to move PTZ cameras around, and use the 1-9 numbered buttons to save and recall pre-set camera positions.

NDI PTZ Control is shipping in Q2 and will be available from the App Store for $19.99. NDI TV Monitor is shipping in Q2 and will be available from Play Store as a free download with an in-app purchase to unlock the watermark for $49.99.
