Biamp has introduced three new 4800-watt models to its Voltera family of networked amplified loudspeaker controllers (ALCs). The new models double the wattage of previous Voltera ALCs and are designed for mid-size to large venues, including stadiums, concert halls, event centers, and indoor arenas.

The new models include:

  • Voltera D 4800.4 – 4800 watts into four channels
  • Voltera D 4800.2M – 4800 watts into two channels
  • Voltera D 4800.4M – 4800 watts into four channels

Each model features on-board digital signal processing (DSP), combining amplification and processing in a single networked unit. The Voltera D 4800.2M and 4800.4M models also include an integrated TesiraFORTÉ DSP, delivering the full performance of a standalone DSP within a 1RU chassis.

Voltera ALCs require fewer devices and less cabling, streamlining installation. When used with Tesira software, they offer control, source selection, and networking capabilities. They are also compatible with Biamp VenueTune software, providing a staged workflow for system design, deployment, and management.

Additionally, Voltera ALCs integrate with the ALAMOS loudspeaker library, automating amplifier pairing and setup with preconfigured Tesira and VenueTune profiles for Community, Desono, and Commercial Audio loudspeakers.
