BenQ Helps Solve Classroom Challenges With New Solutions at TCEA 2017

phpwBNR8NAMCOSTA MESA, Calif. — Jan. 19, 2017 — BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned provider of visual display solutions, today announced its classroom solutions showcase for the Texas Computer Education Association Convention and Exposition (TCEA). Held Feb. 6-10 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, Texas, the event will give educational decision makers an up-close look at BenQ’s new classroom innovations. In booth 212, attendees will experience BenQ’s new LX810STD short-throw laser projector, CH100 portable LED presentation projector, MW883UST interactive classroom projector and the RP653 65-inch and RP750 75-inch interactive flat panel (IFP) displays.

“Our latest offering of classroom solutions are purpose-built to promote a richer, more fulfilling educational experience and interactivity in today’s K-12 classroom,” said J.Y. Hu, vice president, business line management at BenQ America Corp. “We will demonstrate how these projectors and IFPs solve the challenge of delivering an engaging and effective curriculum in the classroom and enable an exciting, immersive learning environment where students can collaborate in a new way.”

As part of the lineup at TCEA, the new BenQ LX810STD short-throw laser DLP projector transforms the classroom with incredible performance, low total cost of ownership (TCO) and ease of use. Featuring 3,000 ANSI lumens, a dual color wheel system and 455 wavelength laser capability, the LX810STD renders amazingly bright, clear and vibrant images that even students in the back of the classroom will enjoy. The BlueCore laser is optimized to deliver 20,000 hours of light source life in normal mode, which along with BenQ’s SmartEco™ energy-saving technology benefits, provide long-lasting value and overall TCO. With an abundance of connectivity options, including an HDMI input doubling as a MHL 2.1 port for mobile devices, instructors can leverage a wider variety of content to share on the big screen. Instantaneous on and off saves valuable classroom time by eliminating tedious warmup and cooldown time while internal 20-watt (10-watt x2) speakers eliminate the need to set up external speakers.

Redefining TCO for schools operating on tight budget requirements, the CH100 is BenQ’s first portable LED projector delivering sRGB Colorific™ fidelity and full HD 1080p resolution. With short-throw functionality for easy placement and five picture modes for any presentation requirement, the CH100 sets up and activates instantly to project pristine, detailed images no matter the content. It is powered by a durable 20,000-hour lamp-free LED light source that minimizes color decay and boosts the perceived brightness to appear twice as bright as its 1,000 ANSI lumen rating, making the solution a long-lasting, smart investment that never needs lamp replacement to preserve its excellent presentation quality. Approximately the same size as a 13-inch laptop, this presentation powerhouse packs three HDMI inputs with one doubling as an MHL port, which allows users to unchain their media from their mobile device and seamlessly display videos, games, or photos on the big screen. Additionally, built-in 10-watt speakers stream full audio presentation.

Also at TCEA is the BenQ MW883UST ultra-short-throw WXGA projector, featuring powerful optical engines that beam out 3,300 ANSI lumens and 10,000:1 contrast ratio for a richer, brighter visual experience, even in semi-lit learning spaces. With the exclusive PointWrite™ interactive module option, the solution brings affordable pen or finger-touch annotation and immersive collaboration capabilities to classrooms in budget-conscious schools. Wireless connectivity and content sharing is enabled via an optional QCast dongle. Featuring Blu-ray™ 3D capabilities, dual HDMI® ports (one being MHL-compatible), a USB reader for PC-less presentations and document saving, an integrated wireless docking port to house accessory dongles and powerful 20-watt audio, the projector becomes a complete content hub for engaging lesson plans. With flexible installation and setup options, it can be mounted anywhere with precision. In addition, its LAN management capabilities and SmartEco™ lamp-saving technology reduce TCO.

TCEA attendees will also experience BenQ’s new RP653 65-inch and RP750 75-inch IFPs, which are designed with a range of innovative features and capabilities to smoothly transition any classroom to a fully immersive active learning environment. They feature full HD resolution, precise 20-point multi-touch capabilities and BenQ’s innovative technologies that provide a healthier viewing experience for teachers and students. For instance, the screen’s tempered glass is covered with a bacteria-resistant coating to help reduce the spread of germs. These touchscreens are also enhanced with BenQ’s exclusive Eye-Care features, including anti-glare glass to minimize light reflections and improve readability, as well as Low Blue Light and ZeroFlicker™ backlight technologies to help reduce eye fatigue during long hours of content viewing and instruction. The built-in Android™ operating system is packed with useful and engaging apps and educational games.
