There’s more to InfoComm 2025 than what meets the eye — and Behind the Booth is where we uncover it. This sponsored series offers a snapshot of the people driving the momentum behind the scenes. In this edition, Turtle AV’s Eamon Drew shares what the company is bringing to the show and where it’s headed next.

Q: Why is Turtle AV exhibiting at InfoComm 2025, and what are you most excited to showcase this year?

A: Turtle AV is really investing heavily in innovation around Dante AV over IP technologies, especially Dante AV-A and Dante Audio. Everyone knows Dante Audio so let’s focus on Dante AV-A for a moment. We did a ton of research before deciding to make Dante AV-A our format of choice for our flagship product line and there are a few reasons we feel Dante AV-A is kind of like a goldilocks format for AV over IP.

Dante AV-A headline features at a glance:

  • 4K60 4:4:4
  • Subframe latency with seamless switching
  • 1 stream of 4K60 4:4:4 video and 2×2 Dante audio channels
  • Approx 800Mbits at 4K60 4:4:4 so it fits nicely on 1GbE networks lowering the infrastructure cost to roll out
  • The picture quality is insanely good
  • It works with Dante Controller so almost every integrator on the planet knows intuitively how to route and use Dante AV-A because it behaves just like Dante Audio

On top of the format, Turtle’s Chazy line of Dante AV-A Tx and Rx is the most complete range of Dante AV-A end points and when you add into the mix the world’s first and only Dante Hardware Controller you know have full API support to program your entire Dante network regardless of which manufacturer is sending or receiving the Dante.

Q: What trends do you expect to see dominating the show floor, and how is your company positioned to lead or respond to them?

A: AV over IP is continuing to be a hot category within the broad AV world with our Chazy Family of Dante AV-A solutions, our high density Mineola and low cost Dante Adapters, and our Darwin range of HEVC/H.265 we have a solution for almost every AV over IP project and budget.

Our AV over IP hardware controllers for our Chazy Dante AV-A family have built in Dante Controller allowing for standalone control of your entire Dante network allowing programming with any control platform including Q-SYS, Crestron, and more.

Q: Which new products, solutions or updates are you featuring — and how do they address current needs in the AV industry?

A: Turtle are proudly launching 6 new products at InfoComm including 5 new hardware products and a free app for iPad and Android allowing video routing control for our Darwin and Chazy family of AV over IP products. This allows easy source changing for end customers without having to access the settings of the units, making it ideal for sports bars, conference centres, house of worship, education, and anywhere where you would like a non-technical person to be able to change channels without accessing all the settings of the AV over IP system.

The hardware products are:

  • Chazy Control Pro – Advanced AV over IP control box for Chazy family with Dante Controller built in, scheduling, presets, media players, advanced 3rd party control engine and more.
  • Downtown – a 9.1 channel Dolby Atmos to Dante encoder.
  • 30W PoE+ Power Amp – Plenum rated 30W Dante Power Amp with Dante Bridge built into hardware, and ability to power 2x 15W passive speakers.
  • Phoenix – 8×8 Analogue to Dante Bridge with Euroblock connectors, featuring dual PoE ports for PoE redundancy and Dante network redundancy.
  • Mineola 16×16 – a 16×16 Analgoue to Dante Bridge over XLR with combo jacks for XLR/TRS, Phantom Power, dual PoE ports for PoE redundancy and Dante network redundancy.
  • USB Extender with 4K60 video.

Q: How is your company supporting integrators and end users in navigating today’s biggest AV challenges — not just at InfoComm, but year-round?

A: One of the hottest topics at the moment in the USA is tariffs. Turtle manufactures in Taiwan we have managed to maintain price continuity and stability ailing integrators in the USA to specify Turtle AV into projects with full confidence.

More broadly AV over IP is a new space and new technology for a lot of integrators, we are here to help with training, education, and support for those to transition to a new way of implementing large scale AV deployments.

Q: Why should InfoComm 2025 attendees make a point to stop by your booth?

A: I think all attendees should come and check our Chazy Control line to understand the true power of being able to control your entire Dante network via our hardware and API.

Additionally we have a full range of AV over IP solutions suited for all projects, both large and small, and with a solution that will fit almost every budget. We also have some amazingly powerful 4K60 4:4:4 Video Wall processors that are actually 3 in 1 as they are a Video Wall, Matrix, and Multiview, and USB extension solutions that are needed in almost every boardroom and AV project.

Oh and of course we also have one of the most comprehensive lines of Analog Audio to Dante and Dante to Analog Audio hardware products as well.

Q: Anything else you’d like to share ahead of the show?

A: This is Turtle’s first InfoComm and we’re super excited to share all the amazing innovations we’ve been working on and launch 6 new products. InfoComm is a fantastic show; truly a great launch pad for innovation and we’re just so happy to be exhibiting.
