Barco Ships 55″ LED-Lit LCD
Barco is now shipping the NSL-5521, a 55″ full HD LED-backlit LCD (native 1080p). Barco is aiming it towards emergency operations centers, traffic management and surveillance centers, C4I-SR environments, utilities and process control centers and broadcast and telecom monitoring applications. The NSL-5521 offers a brightness spec of 700 cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 3000:1. It also has a pretty “blue-ish” image since its white point is set a 10,000 Kelvin, although this is adjustable.
The NSL-5521 weighs 35 pounds and is designed to be used in monitor wall applications. It includes HDMI and analog ports and has a bezel width of only 1.9 mm top-to-bottom and 3.8 mm side-to-side.
