Bang & Olufsen is celebrating its 100th anniversary with The Centennial Collection, a trio of special-edition designs that blend the company’s design heritage with modern craftsmanship. The collection includes reimagined versions of three Bang & Olufsen icons — the Beoplay H100 headphones, Beosound A5 portable speaker, and Beosound A9 5th Gen wireless speaker — each finished with materials and colors inspired by defining moments in the company’s history.

“Since our founding in 1925, timeless design has been at the heart of everything we craft,” said Kristian Teär, CEO of Bang & Olufsen. “The Centennial Collection honours our past, celebrates our present, and looks to the future. It is a tribute to the icons that have shaped Bang & Olufsen and to the enduring values that define our legacy.”

The series draws from key eras of Bang & Olufsen’s evolution — from the checkered grille patterns of early radios to the vibrant color palette of the 1970s in Century Red, Chestnut Brown and Century Blue. The brushed aluminium finishes evoke the design language of the 1980s, while refined leather and precision-turned details highlight the brand’s continued focus on craftsmanship. Each piece features the B&O Est. 1925 Anniversary logo and a tribute to founders Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen: “A never failing will to create only the best.”

The Beoplay H100 Century Brown headphones pair immersive Dolby Atmos-optimized sound with titanium drivers and active noise cancellation. The design features a Century Red leather headband with Chestnut Brown cushions and Century Blue detailing, complemented by a matching travel pouch.

The Beosound A5 Century Weave portable speaker features a raffia paper weave in Beige and Chestnut Brown, echoing the textures of Bang & Olufsen’s midcentury radios. Its brushed aluminium frame, Century Red leather strap and anniversary engraving combine historical inspiration with contemporary appeal.

The Beosound A9 Century Blue showcases Kvadrat’s Centennial Cadence fabric — a checkered weave in Century Blue and Chestnut Brown. With its seven-driver sound system, the speaker’s natural aluminium ring and brushed legs recall the brand’s 1980s aesthetic, while Century Blue feet and cabling add a modern touch.

The Centennial Collection — including the Beosound A5 Century Weave (RRP £1,250 / €1,500 / $1,750), Beosound A9 Century Blue (RRP £3,800 / €4,500 / $5,500), and Beoplay H100 Century Brown (RRP £1,500 / €1,800 / $2,300) — will be available beginning October 22 at select Bang & Olufsen stores and online at bang-olufsen.com.
