Amerlux announced the latest addition to its Hornet downlight series — a fixture that caters to retail and commercial applications without compromising on budget or design, according to the company.

The new Hornet HP Select downlight offers an output of over 2,000 lumens in a 75-degree distribution. The series also offers a Solite lensing feature to improve visual comfort; it’s also available in round and square apertures.

The Hornet HP Select is available in trimmed, trimless or millwork and is compatible with existing Hornet downlight infrastructure. The Hornet HP Select is available for retrofit applications as well as new construction. The Hornet Family features several color temperature options from 2700K to 4000K with CRI choices of 83 or 90+.

Equipped with an electronic constant current LED driver and ELV or TRIAC dimming, the Hornet HP Select integrates with all preexisting dimming systems. The inclusion of various trim finishes, such as matte black, matte white and matte silver, along with the option of a white or black flange, allows for flexible design customization.
