Amber International, the EMEA Master Distributor to the CI industry has announced it will be commencing immediate shipment of several new URC products for the Total Control range including the TKP-7000 touch screen, CAM-DC1 surveillance camera and the THS-WD1 external temperature sensor.

In addition, URC is also in the process of launching ‘Offsite Programming’, a new feature available to programmers of Total Control whole-house systems.  Now custom installers can access their customers’ MRX-10 Advanced Network Controller to program or reprogram, change cable channel line-up, reset Favourites or make any other adjustment, all without visiting the installation site. Access can be made remotely from the installer’s shop, home or anywhere else that they can connect to the internet.

Featuring a 7” 1024 x 600 capacitive-touch colour screen, the new URC TKP-7000 is an intuitive control device that adds complete management of all entertainment, lighting, heating, security and more. The TKP-7000 offers gesture-based control of music lists, source selection or volume. With full graphic feedback from both URC and compatible third-party devices, the TKP-7000 can also display live video for security monitoring when combined with URC cameras like the brand new CAM-DC1.

The latest Total Control surveillance camera, the CAM-DC1 is stylish, compact and easy-to-install. Available in two options as an unobtrusive indoor mini-dome, or a tough, vandal-proof outdoor dome camera, it can comfortably cater for every need. Offering H.264/MJPEG compression, motion detection, web-based set-up, administration, control and upgrade – the CAM-DC1 keeps in control via a 32-bit embedded CPU running Linux.

The THS-WD1 is a discreet external temperature sensor designed for use with the URC THZ-100 Advanced Thermostat, allowing for an additional zone of temperature measurement away from the unit itself. This allows the end-user to easily observe temperature sensitive areas of their property.
