SpinetiX Players Power Longest LED Display in the Middle East at Dubai Fountain Promenade

When the iconic Dubai Fountain was taken offline for renovation, Emaar Properties needed a showstopping alternative — and fast. The solution: a 440-meter-long, 3-meter-high curved LED wall encircling the fountain promenade, now the longest LED installation in the Middle East. AV integrator Blue Rhine Industries partnered with regional SpinetiX distributor Media La Vista to bring the vision to life in just 60 days.

At the heart of the system are six SpinetiX iBX440 players, delivering frame-perfect, 24/7 playback across the 1,450-square-meter canvas. All content is managed through the SpinetiX Complete Solution, with real-time remote monitoring via ARYA and content creation handled through the company’s Elementi software platform.

The install came with three core challenges: conceal ongoing fountain maintenance with a continuous visual attraction, build and deploy the massive curved display during the peak of Dubai’s summer heat and ensure pixel-accurate synchronization with the Burj Khalifa’s iconic nightly LED shows.

SpinetiX’s advanced sync engine ensured flawless timing between the promenade LED and the neighboring skyscraper’s LED facade, with no drift or dropped frames. Despite being housed behind construction hoarding in extreme temperatures, the hardware has remained rock-solid in performance and reliability.

Here’s a video version of this case study:

“The result is a seamless digital experience that captivates visitors and keeps foot traffic strong while the fountain remains out of service,” said representatives from Blue Rhine Industries.

The LED wall has already proven to be a crowd magnet since lighting up last month, offering a bold reminder of how powerful digital signage can be — even in temporary installations.
