Nanov Debuts Solar-Powered LCD Signs for Transit Applications

Nanov just unveiled a solar-powered LCD sign, a PIDS (Passenger Information Display Systems). It’s designed for bus stations and other transit settings, displays information in real-time and relies on energy from the sun.

Each model comes with a 615x515x3-millimeter solar panel that provides power to the LCD sign. The sign is a combination of LCD and E-ink and features a 12V, 30Ah Solar Power Storage battery that will work for up to 48 hours without solar energy, as well as our very new low-powered LCD design that claims full clarity under direct sunlight, but uses less power.

Each model comes fitted with a 4G/LTE modem that streams data in real-time, as well as an embedded Android computer and accessibility features like text-to-speech audio capacities.

Nanov Display is here.
