Toshiba Wins 2014 Bronze Stevie Award For Best Sales Meeting Of Year

(Feb. 25, 2014)—Toshiba America Business Solutions, Inc. was presented the 2014 Bronze Stevie Award within the Sales Meeting of the Year category during the eighth annual Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service last Friday in Las Vegas. The leading managed print services (MPS) provider and business printing solutions innovator secured the award in recognition of its LEAD (Learn, Engage, Act and Deliver) 2013 event last November.

LEAD 2013 drew a record crowd for an annual Toshiba sales conference with nearly a thousand attendees including sales professionals, end users, media and analysts converging on Orlando, Fla. Perhaps most notably, the event marked the launch of the Irvine, Calif. company’s digital signage brand, called Ellumina, which is comprised of two distinct platforms, Virtuoso and Experience Manager.

With the theme of “Touch the Future” establishing a touchstone for the conference, attendees received the ‘State of Toshiba’ address from company President and Chief Executive Officer, Scott Maccabe. Aside from mentioning Toshiba’s rich technology heritage and recent innovation, Maccabe spoke of the company’s favorable year-over-year revenue growth and vision to explore emerging technology and develop new, innovative product offerings.

This marks the third consecutive year Toshiba has won a Stevie Award for best Sales Meeting of the Year. The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top sales awards, contact center awards, and customer service awards. The Stevie Awards organizes several of the world’s leading business awards shows including the prestigious American Business AwardsSM and International Business AwardsSM. More than 400 nominated customer service and sales executives from the United States and other countries attended.

Nominations exceeding 1,500 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were evaluated in this year’s competition. Finalists were determined by the average scores of 129 professionals worldwide, acting as preliminary judges.
