Stage Precision Joins OpenAV Cloud Initiative
Stage Precision has joined the OpenAV Cloud, a nonprofit initiative focused on fostering interoperability in the audiovisual industry through open APIs and shared protocols.
The OpenAV Cloud is designed to enable AV systems, tools and platforms to work seamlessly across brands, disciplines and geographies. Stage Precision said its participation reflects its goal of providing customers with system flexibility and freedom of choice without lock-in.
At the center of this effort is SP Grid, Stage Precision’s platform for managing and synchronizing live data across AV workflows. SP Grid functions as a data backbone, connecting tracking systems, media servers, lighting consoles, automation controllers and other tools into a single environment.
Built with open standards and an API-first architecture, SP Grid supports both native and third-party integrations, making it easier to link existing systems with new technologies.
“We believe the future of AVLM experiences lies in open collaboration, not isolation,” said Sarah Cox, chief commercial officer at Stage Precision. “SP Grid was built to be the connective tissue of AV, translating data between systems, unlocking creative possibilities and ensuring that no single piece of technology becomes a roadblock. Joining the OpenAV Cloud aligns perfectly with our vision of a collaborative, future-proof industry.”
Stage Precision will collaborate with other OpenAV Cloud members to advance interoperability and shared development across the AV industry.
