Sony Equips WWK Versicherungen Visitor Lounge With 98-inch BRAVIA displays

Weybridge, UK, 24th October 2024: Sony has equipped WWK Versicherung’s new visitor lounge with four professional BRAVIA 4K displays – all networked, flexible and easy to operate. In the reception area of the Munich headquarters, a new modern lounge area has been designed to attract the attention of visitors, equipped with the latest AV technology. VAV Medientechnik GmbH was commissioned to provide the AV equipment and opted for four 98-inch Sony BRAVIA displays that form the visual centrepiece of the lounge and ensure the best visual experience for customer or employee events.

Slick AV solution for information displaying and branding

WWK Insurance Group – specialising in unit-linked life and pension insurance – decided to implement an advanced cloud-based digital signage solution in its head office building. The aim of the project was to create a flexible and dynamic display solution that would contribute to both information displaying and branding. Inspired by a football stadium, The WWK lounge projects a thrilling and pleasant atmosphere and can be used in multiple instances like meetings, presentations and for informal events.

Supreme display visibility even in bright daylight

The newly designed lounge in the reception area benefits from a generous glass roof that lets in plenty of daylight and makes the rooms appear bright and inviting. Four Sony 98-inch FW-98BZ50L displays with a luminous intensity of 780 nit were installed to ensure the best view of the displays even in full daylight. It has a 4K panel with 120Hz, equipped with XR Motion Clarity and Motionflow XR to reproduce fast movements on the screen more smoothly, clearly and realistically than ever before.

High demands on display technology

“The new lounge is located in the daylight-flooded reception area of the main building,” says Benjamin Seifert, Senior Sales Manager at VAV Medientechnik GmbH. “It looks inviting and open, but places high demands on the display technology. To ensure rich colours and outstanding contrast from almost any viewing angle, even in bright daylight, we opted for the 98-inch BRAVIA FW-98BZ50L display with a luminous intensity of 780 nit.”

Flexible content presentation and control

A professional system running via Crestron NVX controls the signals for the displays, while operation is via a 10-inch touch panel that enables intuitive control. The BRAVIA displays offer flexible connectivity options and can be used with a variety of content, including presentations and wireless content transmission. A digital signage player provides centralised monitoring and content control of the four displays.

Planning, implementation and commissioning in just 30 days

The four professional BRAVIA 4K displays from Sony in the new WWK lounge are an integral part of the WWK insurance group’s digitalisation strategy. The Sony display technology used shows how customised digital signage can function smoothly and thus improve the user experience. The time frame for the project, including the planning phase, was four weeks.
