Sony Electronics said it will now make its Crystal LED VERONA video wall available on a rental basis for professional applications, including virtual production.

With the VERONA (model ZRD-VP15EB), integrators and rental companies can create video walls up to 40 square meters in size for immersive environments. The square LED modules connect in stacks and feature surface protection to prevent damage during installation or transport.

Designed for high-end virtual production, the VERONA system uses 1.5 mm pixel pitch modules that can be driven by the Brompton Tessera SX40 processor. The panels incorporate Sony’s Deep Black and Anti-Reflection surface technology, delivering brightness up to 1,500 cd/m², wide color performance and extremely deep blacks. High-performance LED driver ICs enable refresh rates up to 7,680 Hz, minimizing flicker and artifacts at high frame rates common in virtual production.

Also new to Sony’s AV-Professional portfolio are the OCELLUS camera tracking system and Virtual Production Toolset software, which support advanced on-set workflows.

Sony said the rental option is aimed at integrators and production teams that need access to premium LED technology without the upfront investment, while ensuring flexibility for both live and virtual applications.
