Rome, Italy, 13/7/2016: Tripleplay’s IPTV platform has been selected by the University of Rome, Italy and will be implemented across ten sites in the city to around 40 displays to a mixture of smart TVs and set top boxes (STB).

Delivering live television services across its Rome campuses, the Tripleplay digital media platform will give the University the power to control each TV individually and to deliver multiple channels across site.

Roberto Blesa, Tripleplay’s Country Manager for Italy, commented; “The Sapienza University of Rome is one of Itay’s leading educational institutions, to be even a small part of their technological plans is wonderful for our business and is something which we are hugely proud.

“Our platform allows so many services to be delivered that should the University decide they wish to expand or add features then it is a simple process and something we will happily work with them and our colleagues at Freenet to achieve.”

Tripleplay’s single platform media delivery solution is in use by educational establishments across the globe including Queen Margaret University in Scotland, Harvard Business School in the USA, Sheffield Hallam University in England and La Trobe University in Australia.
