FotoPhono AS and Display Systems AS announced a merger expected to be completed by the end of 2025, combining two Norwegian audiovisual providers under the FotoPhono name.

The agreement, announced in late August, brings together FotoPhono’s consulting, installation and photo production services with Display Systems’ expertise in meeting rooms, auditoriums, digital signage and control rooms. Display Systems, founded in 2007, will cease operations under its own brand.

Company leaders said the combined business will expand capacity and resources for more complex AV projects and deliver a broader set of services for both private and public sector customers. The new FotoPhono will also gain greater geographical reach and access to new technology solutions through global partnerships.

FotoPhono, established in 2016 as Phoenix Audiovisual AS, acquired FotoPhono Imaging AS in 2018 to add design and artistic decoration to its portfolio. The company has reported annual revenues above NOK 40 million in recent years. Display Systems has maintained revenues between NOK 20 million and NOK 25 million.

The merger is intended to position the new FotoPhono to compete more effectively in a changing AV landscape, with increased emphasis on digitalization, workplace environments and visual communication.
