Mavis announced that its Camera app for iPhone and iPad now supports NDI, enabling broadcast-quality video streaming and production workflows directly from mobile devices.

The integration has been HX3 certified, making the app one of the most comprehensive mobile NDI solutions available. With the update, users can send or receive NDI streams and take advantage of NDI 6 enhancements, including both high-quality Full NDI and bandwidth-efficient NDI HX3 when receiving streams.

For video output, the app supports H.264, HEVC, and HEVC 10-bit codecs, delivering optimized image quality with low latency. In addition to video, Mavis Camera can receive up to eight channels of audio via NDI, with each track recorded alongside video and NDI timecode. The feature provides audio professionals and editors with more precise control and post-production flexibility.

NDI (Network Device Interface) is widely recognized as a standard for IP-based video transmission across live production, streaming, and broadcast environments. By adding NDI, Mavis expands the use of its Camera app for professional applications such as remote production, hybrid workflows, and cloud-based content delivery.
