PPDS (also known as Philips Professional Displays) announced an updated Philips Signage 6000 Series, designed for 24/7/365 operation. The new lineup is a more durable evolution of the Philips P-Line and is available in 43-, 50-, 55- and 65-inch models. It includes an OPS slot for expanded functionality.

Built for demanding environments, the 6000 Series features a robust metal casing, conformal coating and IP5X ingress protection to guard against dust, moisture and other airborne pollutants. The display is suited for locations with mechanical wear, limited ventilation, or exposure to diesel emissions — such as train stations or transportation hubs.

The series is rated to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from 0 to 40 °C and at altitudes up to 3,000 meters (9,840 feet).

For content management, the displays include a built-in, SoC-based SmartPlayer. Users can store media files on a USB drive and plug it directly into the display’s USB port to play and schedule content with minimal setup.
