New EK-355U WUXGA LED Projector Debuts from Eiki
Eiki International just announced a WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution LCD HLD LED portable projector dubbed the EK-355U. Using what they are calling ColorSpark HLD (High Lumen Density) LED projection technology, Eiki’s EK-355U combines multiple LEDs through a light tunnel into a very narrow beam that Eiki claims loses no light whatsoever — if this is true, this would be an industry first — most projectors lose between 15-40 percent of their light in processing the image.
Featuring a 5,500 center lumens brightness, a 25,000 hour HLD LED Light Source Life, WUXGA (1920×1200) resolution and quick power on/off, the EK-355U allows for 360-degree free orientation — vertical or horizontal. Lens shift values range from H: +/- 7 percent to V: – 27 percent – + 39 percent while keystone corner correction ranges from V: +/- 30 degrees to H: +/- 15 degrees with edge blending.
Eiki’s EK-355U has HDBaseT, dual HDMI ports, one MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) and two VGAs. It lists for $3,995.
