Denver, September 10, 2014 – (Virtual Press Office) — Today at CEDIA Expo 2014, booth 758, NEAR, a division of Bogen Communications, Inc. (“NEAR”), a manufacturer of premium outdoor loudspeakers for residential use, announced the introduction of a brown “Mulch” color option for the existing LB4T 4-inch, 2-way, 70V/8-Ohm speaker. Also new is the GS4 ground stake that allows integrators and homeowners to secure the LB4TB speaker to the ground. The mulch-colored LB4T speaker and color-matched GS4 ground stake blend seamlessly into mulched and wooded areas, allowing them to nearly “disappear” amongst their surroundings.

Four stainless steel screws attach the stake to the speaker. A wire channel and clip molded into the stake allow the installer to dress and secure the signal cable (supplied with the LB4T speaker) for neat appearance and reliable signal connection. On one end of the supplied cable is a fully waterproof IP68-rated connector; a tinned pigtail is on the other end. Once connected to the receptacle on the LB4T speaker, the signal cable cannot fall off and effectively prevents dust, dirt and all liquids from contaminating the terminals. It is the most reliable outdoor speaker connection available today.

The LB4T speaker and GS4 ground stake are fabricated from rugged UV-inhibited mineral-filled polypropylene for superior durability and color stability. The mulch-colored LB4T has a $319 MSRP. The GS4 ground stake carries a $29.95 MSRP. Both pieces will ship to NEAR’s network of custom integrator specialists in December 2014.
