L-Acoustics will officially launch L-Acoustics DJ, the industry’s first DJ system for immersive spatial audio, during Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) 2025. The system becomes available for purchase Oct. 30, with shipments beginning in early 2026. Demonstrations and presentations will take place across multiple ADE venues from Oct. 22–24.

Originally previewed in May 2025, L-Acoustics DJ is a complete performance platform that converts standard stereo DJ sets into immersive, spatially dynamic experiences—without requiring changes to existing workflows. Using the company’s proprietary Source Separate technology, the system employs low-latency machine learning to isolate stereo tracks into stems such as beats, basslines, melodies and vocals. DJs can then position and move these elements around the venue in real time, expanding creative control while engaging audiences in a three-dimensional sound field.

“Working with L-Acoustics DJ opens a whole new dimension to my performances,” said artist Max Cooper, who debuted the system during L-Acoustics Keynote 2025. “What I appreciate most is how it fits right into my existing setup, and immediately I can place drums, melodies and vocals throughout the entire space in real time.”

Amsterdam serves as the ideal backdrop for the system’s debut. The city has become a hub for spatial sound innovation, anchored by The Other Side, the world’s first nightclub to feature L-ISA Immersive Sound Technology in a 360° 14.1.5 configuration. The venue now also houses the first permanent installation of L-Acoustics DJ.

Throughout ADE, L-Acoustics will host daily demonstrations at the Rosewood Hotel Ballroom and immersive performances at The Other Side. Highlights include the “Stereo to Spatial from the Decks” panel, led by Chris McDonnell, and live shows from artists such as Halina Rice, Voices From the Lake and Joachim Garraud. The program will culminate with a “Source, System, Space” industry mixer and showcase on Oct. 24.

L-Acoustics DJ offers clubs and DJs a pathway to create emotionally engaging performances that surround audiences with motion, depth and spatial clarity. The system’s intuitive controls make immersive sound accessible without requiring technical expertise.
