HP to Integrate Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform Across Poly Conferencing Devices

HP announced plans to integrate the Microsoft Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP) into its Poly portfolio, including videoconferencing systems, IP phones, room controllers and scheduling panels. The integration is intended to standardize Microsoft Teams performance across devices, strengthen security and simplify fleet management for IT administrators supporting hybrid work environments.
MDEP gives manufacturers a shared device architecture for Teams-certified solutions, reducing the complexity of developing and maintaining multiple platform versions. HP said the shift will accelerate certification cycles and provide a more consistent user experience across Teams Rooms on both Windows and Android.
Customers will continue to see the same audio and video performance associated with Poly hardware, but with deeper Teams integration and more unified management capabilities. HP said the expanded platform support aims to reduce lifecycle fragmentation, improve long-term reliability and streamline deployment for large-scale enterprise environments.
The announcement builds on HP’s long-running collaboration with Microsoft in the meeting-space category. The company has released multiple generations of Teams Rooms systems and was an early partner for both Teams Rooms on Windows and Teams on Android, particularly through the Poly Studio X family.
By aligning its devices more closely with MDEP, HP positions its conferencing line for upcoming Teams platform changes and reinforces its strategy around hybrid work, where consistent meeting experiences remain a top priority for IT teams.
