HARMAN Luxury Audio Group Ships the JBL Synthesis SMA Series Amplifiers
HARMAN Luxury Audio Group announced that the JBL Synthesis SMA Series amplifiers are now available in North America. Designed for residential cinema applications, these amplifiers feature built-in DSPs for custom loudspeaker tuning and system configuration, a custom integration (CI)-focused user interface, balanced XLR inputs, and binding post speaker terminals.
The SMA-4750 and SMA-8300 are Class D multichannel DSP amplifiers designed for both high-power and high-channel count systems. With features such as bridgeable channels, a full input and output high-resolution DSP suite, and DANTE/AES67 digital audio networking, these amplifiers are ideal for powering large LCR, surround, and height channel loudspeakers, as well as subwoofers in JBL Synthesis immersive audio systems.
The JBL Synthesis SMA-4750 and SMA-8300 include:
- SMA-4750: A 4-channel amplifier delivering 750W per channel at 8 ohms, with the ability to bridge adjacent channels for up to 1,800W at 8 ohms. This model is ideal for powering large loudspeakers and subwoofers.
- SMA-8300: An 8-channel amplifier providing 300W per channel at 8 ohms, with bridging options allowing up to 1,200W per channel at 8 ohms. The SMA-8300 is designed for larger, more expansive systems and supports various speaker configurations.
Both amplifiers feature a compact, stackable design with quiet side-to-side ventilation, making them ideal for custom installations. They are equipped with a comprehensive DSP suite, including EQ, delay, and limiters, providing maximum control and customization for audiophiles and professional installers.
The JBL Synthesis SMA-4750 and SMA-8300 are now available. The SMA-4750 has an MSRP of $5,000, while the SMA-8300 is priced at $6,000.
