Global Caché and Modern Atomics Announce Partnership for Motorized Shade Power Distribution
Global Caché, a pioneer in IP- and WiFi-based control and automation hardware, has partnered with Modern Atomics to expand intelligent solutions for motorized window shades.
The collaboration adds Modern Atomics’ Reaktor, a power distribution unit for shades, to Global Caché’s ecosystem of connectivity products. Reaktor supports up to 22 shades from a single device and reduces quiescent current draw by up to 99.75%, offering significant energy savings and simplified installation for integrators.
By combining Reaktor with Global Caché’s IR, serial and relay-to-IP products, the partnership enables broader integration with leading automation platforms. It also extends Global Caché’s footprint into emerging markets powered by energy-efficient smart infrastructure.
“We’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Michael Braithwaite over the years, and we’re honored to welcome his newest venture, Modern Atomics, to the Global Caché partner family,” said Robin Ford, VP of Business Development at Global Caché. “Their innovation addresses real-world challenges with style and precision. By adding Reaktor to our VAR network, we’re giving our partners new tools to create greener, smarter, and more scalable automation systems.”
Michael Braithwaite, Chairperson and Co-Founder of Modern Atomics, shared, “Global Caché has long been a trusted name in delivering flexible connectivity to integrators. Partnering with them aligns seamlessly with our mission to modernize the power backbone of automation. Together, we offer a complete, integrated solution—control connectivity from Global Caché, combined with intelligent power from Reaktor. It’s a big step toward making advanced automation more efficient and accessible.”
The partnership reflects Global Caché’s strategy to deliver open, flexible and future-ready connectivity through technologies that streamline integration and elevate system performance.
