Genetec, SaferWatch Integrate Vehicle Tracking Tools for Public Safety
Genetec Inc. has integrated its AutoVu Cloudrunner vehicle investigation system with the SaferWatch alerting platform, aiming to improve real-time coordination for public safety agencies.
The integration, developed with the Hawaii Department of Law Enforcement, connects Cloudrunner’s license plate recognition and vehicle data with SaferWatch’s communication tools. It enables automatic alerts to be sent to dispatchers and law enforcement when a vehicle on a hotlist is detected.
“This partnership represents a major step forward in how we protect our communities across Hawaii,” said Mike Lambert, director of the Hawaii Department of Law Enforcement.
The system also allows citizens and organizations using SaferWatch to report suspicious vehicles, which can trigger alerts if matched by a Cloudrunner camera. According to the companies, the integration supports faster response times and better coordination between agencies and the public.
“Time and collaboration are critical when addressing public safety threats,” said Larry Legere, commercial director of AutoVu Cloudrunner at Genetec.
The integrated solution is available now in North America to customers of both platforms.
