Focusrite Introduces RedNet TNX Thunderbolt-Dante Interface
Focusrite has introduced RedNet TNX, a Dante interface that connects to PCs or Macs via Thunderbolt and is designed for high-channel-count audio workflows with low latency.
The device supports 128×128 channels of 24-bit/192kHz audio out of the box. An optional Dante Ready upgrade (available through Audinate) expands its capacity to 256×256 channels at 24-bit/96kHz.
RedNet TNX is intended for large recording sessions, post-production work, immersive audio formats such as Dolby Atmos, and applications in broadcast, education and live sound. The interface offers low round-trip latency and integrates with RedNet Control software for centralized device management.
Connectivity includes a single rear-panel Ethernet port for both audio and control data. A second RJ-45 port allows for switched or redundant network modes. The unit supports Dante Domain Manager and audio-over-IP protocols including AES67. It is also compliant with SMPTE ST 2110 when used with DDM.
RedNet TNX is compact and can be deployed in mobile or on-location workflows.
