Focal announced Mu-so Hekla, an all-in-one home cinema and audio system designed to deliver immersive sound and simplified operation for residential environments. The system combines Dolby Atmos capability, a refined industrial design and connectivity features intended to integrate seamlessly into everyday use.

Mu-so Hekla supports Dolby Atmos and offers multiple listening modes accessible through the Focal and Naim app, including Sphere Music and Sphere Movie. These modes are powered by the Sphere module within the Naim Pulse Platform, which uses dual-core processing for optimized, low-latency audio performance. The system also supports stereo playback and customizable configurations.

Connectivity options include HDMI eARC and optical Toslink for televisions, gaming consoles and disc players. Mu-so Hekla supports setups ranging from 2.0 to 7.1.2 and offers wired and wireless streaming through AirPlay, Google Cast, UPnP, Bluetooth and direct access to streaming services such as Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify and QQ Music. Multiroom playback is available through the Focal and Naim app.

The system features 15 drivers powered by 660 watts of amplification, engineered to fill rooms up to approximately 430 square feet with detailed sound. Beamforming and crosstalk cancellation technologies provide spatial control, while ADAPT room calibration automatically tunes performance based on the listening environment. An RCA output is included for optional subwoofer expansion.

Mu-so Hekla is built with brushed anodized aluminum and features a perforated grille, a tactile volume dial and a rear heat sink that incorporates Wi-Fi connectivity. The acoustic architecture is arranged to support both stereo and immersive playback, positioning the product as the new flagship in the Mu-so line.

The system launches Nov. 6 at the Focal Powered by Naim store in Seoul, with initial availability in South Korea and China before a global rollout in early 2026. It will be showcased at CES in Las Vegas from Jan. 6–9, 2026, and at ISE in Barcelona from Feb. 3–6, 2026. Mu-so Hekla will be sold exclusively through the Focal Powered by Naim retailer network for $3,600 in the United States and $4,000 in Canada beginning in Q1 2026.
