Epson and Vivi Partner to Expand Wireless Collaboration in K–12 Classrooms

Epson and Vivi announced a partnership designed to simplify wireless screen sharing and expand collaboration tools in K–12 classrooms. By combining Epson’s 3-chip 3LCD projector lineup with Vivi’s wireless presentation and classroom engagement platform, the companies aim to give teachers more flexibility in how they deliver lessons while streamlining technology management for school IT teams.
The integrated solution allows teachers to move freely around the room, share content wirelessly and give students permission to present from their own devices. Students can also capture screenshots from the projector feed, annotate content and interact collaboratively from their seats. The platform is compatible with multiple operating systems, which the companies say reduces administrative complexity for districts.
“Vivi and Epson share a similar mission to make teaching more impactful, and learning more immersive,” said Natalie Mactier, CEO of Vivi. “The combination of Vivi’s screen mirroring solution and Epson’s vibrant projection, allows schools to easily modernize instruction without adding complexity.”
Epson’s 3LCD projectors range from interactive models to high-lumen units for larger spaces, offering districts a cost-conscious alternative to flat panels. When paired with Vivi’s wireless sharing, digital signage and communication tools, the solution can support lessons, campus-wide messaging and emergency alerts. Vivi’s platform turns Epson projectors into communication hubs outside the classroom as well, enabling announcements and signage across common areas.
“With Vivi’s intuitive interface and Epson’s vibrant projection technology, classrooms become collaborative, connected and ready for the future,” said Remi Del Mar, group product manager at Epson America. “Together, we aim to empower teachers to effortlessly share content, adapt lessons on the fly and easily engage students.”
The partnership is positioned as a scalable option for districts with diverse device fleets and a need for flexible teaching tools. Epson and Vivi said they intend to support dynamic learning environments where content flows easily and technology remains unobtrusive.
Grand Rapids Public Schools implemented Vivi alongside Epson short-throw projectors as part of a district effort to improve engagement. The initial rollout in 23 classrooms expanded to 1,200 Vivi units after the district reported stronger performance compared to its previous solution. The deployment included instructor training on Vivi’s app for Microsoft Surface Pro devices, as well as integration with existing lighting and audio equipment.
Epson and Vivi will demonstrate the joint solution at the CITE Annual Conference in Sacramento, California, from Nov. 17–20. School districts can sign up for a free 90-day trial through Vivi’s website.
