Peavey® has hired industry veteran Chris Hinson as their new Sales Manager for North America in their Peavey Commercial Audio division. With new products coming from Crest® and the forthcoming SCION® from MediaMatrix®, Hinson’s 30 years of industry expertise will prove invaluable. As Sales Manager, Hinson will oversee new business development, sales channel management, and marketing.

Hinson is a seasoned professional. His diverse experience includes roles as a professional musician and producer, an international touring backline technician, and a recording engineer and studio owner based in Nashville, TN. He established himself as a Digital Mixer Technical Specialist for major brands and has provided round-the-clock technical support, most notably as 24-7 Support Technician for Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems beginning in 2003. His commercial audio acumen is clear from his roles as a District Sales Manager and a Technical Marketing Specialist for Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, where he developed his marketing skills, and excelled at creating content and managing social media promotions. In addition, Chris has been a Sales and Product Specialist for Waves Audio Inc. (LV1, SuperRack, WSG Networks), and Technical Applications Engineer for Sennheiser Business Communications (Team Connect Ceiling, Team Connect Bar and Evolution Wireless Digital), assisting and supporting the AV consultant community in the Northeast and Southeast US. Since 1995, Chris has been supporting audio professionals, from studios to churches to concert tours and festivals. In addition to his advanced skills in digital audio and audio networks such as Cobranet, Ethersound, and Dante, Chris has a talent for adapting to evolving technologies and solid foundation in relationship building.
