D-Tools Releases System Integrator Version 23 With New Project and Accounting Tools
D-Tools has released the 23rd version of its System Integrator (SI) software, adding new features to support complex integration projects and improve project management, accounting and inventory workflows. The update introduces tools aimed at larger integration firms managing multiple offices and high-volume projects.
Key New Features in SI Version 23
Multi-Office Management
The update enables companies to share catalog data and system settings across multiple SI servers. This change is intended to improve consistency and efficiency in organizations with multiple physical locations.
Expanded User Permissions
Users can now set more granular access controls, improving data security and management oversight.
Enhanced Project Management Tools
- Editable Project Templates now support checklists, submittals and Gantt charts.
- Status Color Indicators provide quick visibility into project health within Project Explorer.
- Unit-Based to Quantity-Based Project Conversion allows for improved pricing and billing flexibility.
- Partial Project Approval supports phased work approval and pending change orders.
- Change Order-Specific Payment Terms allow financial customization on a per-order basis.
Accounting Integration With QuickBooks
D-Tools has improved its QuickBooks integration with features designed to streamline financial workflows:
- Estimate Number Tracking reduces the risk of duplicate items on service orders.
- “Ship To” Field Mapping now aligns with “Ship Via” in QuickBooks Online purchase orders.
- Custom Job Name Mapping enables project name and number combinations for better sync with QuickBooks.
Updates to D-Tools Cloud
D-Tools Cloud received expanded inventory management functionality to help integrators better manage materials and logistics:
- Streamlined Purchasing Workflows for both project and stock items.
- Bar/QR Code Scanning for fast item receiving and assignment.
- Real-Time Tracking of items from warehouse to job site.
- Smart Inventory Allocation ensures materials are reserved for active projects.
- Location Management tracks movement between warehouses, vehicles and job sites.
- Automated Reordering prevents stockouts of frequently used items.
Convenience Fee Option and New Invoicing Tools
Integrators can now add a 3% credit card convenience fee via D-Tools Payments, enabling them to offset transaction costs while giving clients a quick and flexible payment option.
The invoicing system has also been updated with:
- Clearer Payment Tracking, separating terms and invoices within project views.
- Invoice Number Sync with QuickBooks to prevent duplication.
- PDF Invoice Downloads that include payment status tags such as “Paid” for greater clarity when sharing with clients.
