Crestron Joins Industry Experts to Discuss IoT and Collaborative Solutions at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2015

phpuW6IvKAMRockleigh, NJ, July 16, 2015 – Crestron was chosen by Microsoft to participate in numerous ways at the annual Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, July 12 – 16. WPC provides an invaluable opportunity for Microsoft partners and customers to learn about the strategic direction of the company, hear from industry thought-leaders, attend expert-led presentations tailored to meeting business challenges, and network with dynamic technology executives from around the world.

This year’s WPC kicked-off with a pre-show event to showcase the new Microsoft® Surface™ Hub with integrated Crestron technology. Crestron was the only partner participating in this exclusive event to demo amazing new Surface Hub solutions for the enterprise. The result of more than two years of collaboration between the companies, Surface Hub unlocks the full potential of today’s meeting spaces by natively integrating the premier large format Windows touch appliance with the leading control, automation, and enterprise AV technology from Crestron. Thanks to the powerful .AV Framework™, the new Crestron OS, integrated Surface Hub solutions require no programming and are ready for use right out of the box.

Kor Baydurcan, Director, Software Products & Enterprise Solutions at Crestron, was a featured presenter on a panel of Microsoft partners asked to break down best practices for designing solutions that leverage Microsoft Internet of Things (IoT) and cloud technology. During the presentation, Baydurcan discussed the innovative technology of Crestron Pyng™, the revolutionary home automation solution highlighted by Nick Parker, Microsoft Corporate Vice President OEM Division, in his keynote address on IoT at Computex Taipei 2015. He also discussed how IoT is changing the way people interact with their environments in both commercial and residential settings by enabling dynamic system learning to adapt the system to the user’s lifestyle, improve performance and reduce energy consumption.

“We recognize Crestron as a cutting-edge industry pioneer on IoT,” said Rodney Clark, Microsoft General Manager, IoT Device Experience. “We’re thrilled to have Crestron share their knowledge and experience with our partners at our Worldwide Partner Conference.”

During the Worldwide Partner Conference, both Crestron Pyng and the MC3 control system were prominently displayed at the Microsoft device bar on the showroom floor. Both solutions leverage IoT and cloud technology to extend intelligent control and automation capabilities throughout the home and across the enterprise. “We are excited to be recognized as IoT leaders by Microsoft,” said Sean Goldstein, Vice President of Marketing at Crestron. “Being asked by Microsoft to participate in WPC 2015 underscores the strength of our relationship and our pivotal role as thought-leaders for the markets we serve as well as for the broader technology industry,” added Goldstein.

The Worldwide Partner Conference 2015 welcomed Microsoft Partners from every corner of the world, attracting more than 15,000 attendees.
