Chord has introduced the EE1 Plus, an updated version of its EE1 network noise isolator, designed to reduce noise in audio streaming applications. The device is a compact Ethernet-in, Ethernet-out box that aims to eliminate network noise generated by household devices without causing audio delays.

The EE1 Plus uses a passive design that converts noise into heat. It features galvanic isolation, targeted common-mode filtering, and Chord’s proprietary ARAY technology to improve audio clarity.

The device can reduce noise in various setups, including between a data switch and a streamer or server, between a server and a streamer, or between a router and a data switch. Additional noise reduction can be achieved by adding more devices in configurations such as between a router and a data switch or between the switch and a streamer.
