AVAD Adds AMX Audio, Video and Control Solutions to Distribution Lineup

avad_hdr1-0609Los Angeles, Calif. – May 16, 2016 — AVAD LLC, North America’s leading provider of solutions for the residential and commercial custom installation market, announces the distribution launch of AMX, a HARMAN Professional Division brand and a leading audio and video solution provider to business, education and government markets.

Through the new distribution launch with AMX, AVAD dealers have access to the latest meeting room and presentation control devices, including HydraPort, NetLinx and Modero, amongst other AMX technology. AMX solves the complexity of managing technology with reliable, consistent and scalable systems comprising control and automation, system-wide switching and AV signal distribution, digital signage and technology management.

The HydraPort from AMX is a future-proof audio and visual table box that retracts to provide users with convenient, sleek and accessible connectivity solutions with HDMI, VGA, USB and other popular formats. The architectural connectivity systems ensure that the top of the table always remains clean and professional while everything is properly tucked away under the table. Users can create a custom HydraPort with varying sizes, including HPX-600, HPX-900, HPX-1200 and HPX-1600, and interchangeable modules to accommodate Ethernet, USB, HDMI, VGA and AC power, including a multi-region power module that fits most international power plugs, to create the perfect collaboration and conference room solution for their desired needs.

AMX’s NetLinx NX Series Central Controllers are the brains for any AMX control system. The powerful control processors run the code that communicates to the control system with commands and responses from the user interfaces. Available with varying port sizes, including NX-1200, NX-2200, NX-3200 and NX-4200, the robust controllers are specifically designed to control AV and building technology using multiple analog and digital formats.

Modero Touch Panels from AMX are control interfaces that allow users to interact with technology within a meeting or conference room. Available as a table-top or wall-mounted, the Modero Series offers a wide range of panel sizes and price points through their two lines of control panels, the Modero X line and the Modero S line. The Modero X panels easily integrate new features into the touch panels by adding new apps, just as you would with a mobile phone or tablet, to allow users to video conference, view documents and calendars, browse the web or check the weather. The Modero S panels includes advances features that let users operate AV equipment simply and effectively with an intuitive, gesture-based interface, making it ideal for conference rooms, classrooms and small huddle spaces.

“We are pleased to provide AMX and their state-of-the-art technology to our distributors in the United States,” said Jeff Neilson, vendor business manager for AVAD. “We feel that our dealers will both benefit and enjoy working with innovative technology within the HydraPort, NetLinx and Modero lines and the flexibility they provide.”
