Asia’s First InfoComm on Campus Program to Explore Evolving AV Technology in Education

infocomm-international-1115SINGAPORE – 27 April, 2016 – InfoComm International®, the trade association representing the commercial audiovisual industry worldwide, has announced its first InfoComm on Campus program in Asia, sponsored by the University of Hong Kong (HKU).

Scheduled for 24 May, 2016 on the HKU campus, the one-day program focuses on the evolving role of technology as it applies to the classroom of the future. It is ideal for professionals who interact with classroom audiovisual technology, including AV technology and IT managers, facility managers, as well as academics and teachers interested in integrating AV technology to enhance student learning.

“Technology has been transforming the classroom experience around the world,” said Jonathan Seller, Senior Director of Development, Asia Pacific, InfoComm International. “In Asia, although we’ve seen a greater appreciation for the role of AV in enhanced learning, there is still immense potential to make the user experience more seamless and to create better AV/IT convergence. The upcoming InfoComm on Campus addresses these important questions while promoting a shared understanding of how classroom AV technology can make learning more effective and engaging. This program is a must for those driving this change, and we’re proud to work with HKU to bring this to Asia.”

Through in-depth presentations, roundtable discussions, and networking, participants will explore issues that include:

·       Technology-enhanced learning

·       Emerging methods of teaching and how they impact classroom support

·       How AV design interacts with the classroom of the future

Speakers at InfoComm on Campus will include professors Susan Bridges and Ricky Kwok; Zane Au, CTS-D, Director, Shen Milsom & Wilke; and Terry Coe, Manager, Teaching Infrastructure Services, University of Western Australia.
