Ashton Bentley Launches USB-C Routing Solutions With New X-Range Line
Ashton Bentley has entered the USB-C routing market with the launch of its X-Range, a portfolio of connectivity solutions designed to simplify AV setups in meeting spaces of all sizes — from huddle rooms to lecture halls.
The new X-Range enables a single USB-C connection to deliver charging, video, audio, USB and networking, streamlining the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) and bring-your-own-meeting (BYOM) experience. All kits support 4K60 video and are compatible with both Mac and Windows systems without requiring drivers or additional software.
The product line includes:
- BX Kit: A USB-C breakout hub offering 100W charging, 4K60 video, USB/data and gigabit Ethernet via a single locking USB-C cable.
- VX Kit: A hybrid USB-C and HDMI input device with automatic source switching, tailored for Microsoft Teams Room installations.
- TX2/DX2 Kit: A two-box room system intended to replace traditional AV racks, supporting smart USB switching and web-based device control.
- UX Smart Switch: An intelligent USB switch that toggles between room PCs and laptops, designed for dynamic BYOD environments.
Ashton Bentley also introduced a set of accessories including USB-C retractors, tabletop enclosures, and LCD/OLED touch panels to complement the X-Range kits.
The company said the solutions are geared toward integrators and IT managers looking to deploy flexible, user-friendly systems with minimal cabling and hardware footprint.
