Artnovion says the Aries W Diffuser has long been a “benchmark of performance and elegance” in its product line. Today, the company unveiled its successor, the Aries E – Diffuser, a product it says surpasses its predecessor in both affordability and versatility. Diffusion is a prime component of any balanced acoustic treatment. Artnovion says the Aries Diffuser was designed using various diffusion techniques. Inspired from traditional numeric sequence diffusers, it is composed of asymmetrical multi-depth wells, in which specific wells use a folded-depth technique to boost the mid-low diffusion range of the panel.

While the panel itself is only 60mm thick, the company says the extended wells on the diffuser are designed to be effective at 160 Hz and 400 Hz, with a linear diffusion pattern from 700Hz upwards.

Artnovion says the asymmetric wells are arranged in an optimized sequence to prevent lobing when used in larger arrays. This, in combination with the extended low-range diffusion, makes Aries go lower and outperform any other diffuser in its class – a unique approach to diffusion techniques, and a clear advance in performance over the traditional QRD design, according to the company.

The Aries E Diffuser’s core is crafted from molded EPS, ensuring its sound diffusion capabilities. The company says this material delivers the same level of performance as traditional wood cores but at a significantly lower cost.
