Apex Technologies-US debuted the MHUB “Mega Matrix,” a stackable 16+16×16 AV Matrix, and the uControl Smart Remote, a 44-button handheld remote. The remote pairs with the Mega Matrix MHUB, as well as other HDA products including its MHUB Video matrix line, MXMA audio matrix amplifiers, and Zone Processor solutions.

With its ability to reach 16/32/48/64/70 zones or more, the MHUB is so simple to install that any junior technician or inexperienced staff member can set up and deploy large distributed AV systems. Technicians no longer require networking knowledge or expensive network troubleshooting equipment to deploy distributed AV systems. The ease of installation is further met with ease of use, as the new MHUB S supports Dolby Atmos downmixing, downscaling and volume-controllable audio extraction from both source or output in a compact 3U frame. These features make the MHUB a cost-effective, high-performance alternative to AV over IP-based systems.

Designed exclusively for the custom integration market, the lightning-fast 44-button uControl Smart Remote combines Wi-Fi and infrared technology and programs easily to provide intuitive control and scene-setting commands of AV equipment from HDA and smart devices from other manufacturers. In development for four years, the uControl Smart Remote breaks tradition by relying solely on buttons—no built-in LCD—for operation.
