Advantech and Mitsubishi Electric Jointly Present OPS Solution at ISE 2014

phpxpDiRGAMJanuary 29, 2014, Eindhoven –At Integrated Systems Europe 2014, Advantech joins force with Mitsubishi Electric to present Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) digital signage media player and display solution at Mitsubishi Electric stand A24 in Hall 2. The complete solution featuring Advantech ARK-DS262 and Mitsubishi LM55P1 is compliant with Intel® OPS standard and aims to simplify device installation and maintenance therefore making digital signage applications more intelligent and connected.

“Although OPS is an open standard, the performance of third-party modules can sometimes fall short of expectations. However no such uncertainty exists with Advantech products, which have been extensively tested by our factory to ensure reliable performance every time. Advantech is currently the only OPS module supplier endorsed by Mitsubishi Electric.” Said Peter van Dijk, Business Development Manager, Mitsubishi Electric Europe.

ARK-DS262 OPS-Compliant Design

The very compact (200 x 119 x 30 mm) ARK-DS262 signage solution is an Intel® digital signage platform that helps standardize the design and development of media player and display. Development, installation, management, maintenance and upgrade are all easy. The ARK-DS262 is powered by a 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i7/i3 with built-in graphics, which enables it to generate compelling video and 3D animation. ARK-DS262 also supports 1x GigaLAN, 1x COM ports, and 2x USB3.0, giving a great selection of data communications for display applications.

Complete Solution with Mitsubishi High-Specification LCD Displays

Advantech will showcase ARK-DS262 with Mitsubishi high-specification LCD Displays LM55P1 at Mitsubishi’s stand 2A24 during ISE 2014. The 55” high-specification displays come with high brightness and contrast LED-backlit panels, and features a super-narrow 5.7mm bezel that minimizes image content loss, a critical factor in multi-screen applications.

The LM55P1 are superior specification LCD displays designed specifically for demanding high-end tiled applications such as control rooms, digital signage or remote monitoring. The displays’ OPS compliant feature allow users to change or upgrade their media player as their requirements change, as quickly and simply as changing out a personal computer card, 3G-SDI, etc., enabling a wider scope of applications.
