Williams AV Ships Infinium Auracast Broadcast Audio System

Williams AV has begun shipping its Infinium broadcast audio system, one of the first professional-grade solutions to feature Auracast, a new Bluetooth LE Audio technology designed to improve how shared audio is experienced in public environments.
Infinium has officially received qualification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), earning a place on the organization’s Auracast Qualified Products Listing. This designation confirms the system meets Bluetooth SIG’s interoperability, performance and compatibility standards, ensuring it works across a range of receivers — including smartphones, hearing aids, cochlear implants, earbuds and dedicated assistive listening devices.
Engineered for professional AV deployments, the Infinium system allows users to wirelessly transmit high-quality audio to an unlimited number of Auracast-compatible devices, without the need for pairing or proprietary apps.
Key features include:
- Compatibility with a wide range of devices, including Auracast-enabled hearing aids, headsets and Infinium’s own handheld receivers.
- Remote or on-device monitoring and configuration.
- Simplified plug-and-play setup via a single CAT5 cable for audio, data and PoE power.
- A low-profile transmitter that minimizes visual disruption in spaces.
- Integrated Dante support for AV network integration.
