IHSE Launches DisplayPort 1.2-Based 1G AV-over-IP Extenders
IHSE USA has introduced the Draco vario XS DisplayPort 1.2 Extender Series, a line of KVM-based AV-over-IP extenders featuring the JPEG XS video codec. The new series is the first set of 4K KVM extenders to support 60 Hz refresh rates at full color depth over a 1 Gbps bandwidth data path.
Designed for flexibility, the Draco vario XS extenders can be integrated into any existing IHSE Draco tera matrix system operating at either 1 Gbps or 3 Gbps. The devices support 4K resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160, delivering fully digital video with true 60 Hz refresh rates and 24-bit 4:4:4 color depth.
In addition to video capabilities, the extenders support digital audio transmission via the DisplayPort interface. This feature reduces the need for additional audio modules and enables playback of audio through monitors with integrated speakers. Optional upgrade modules are also available, allowing integration of digital or analog audio input and output, as well as data signals such as USB 2.0 and RS-232.
The new Draco vario XS series is intended for professional AV applications requiring high-quality video and audio transmission over IP, especially where infrastructure constraints limit bandwidth to 1 Gbps.
