Solid State Logic Releases System T V4.1 Adding Support for 9.1.6 Channel Paths

solid state

Solid State Logic has released the System T V4.1 software update, introducing 9.1.6 channel path support, an expanded FX Rack, and a new Dual Channel View mode in the Tempest Control App (TCA).

The update enhances immersive audio capabilities with 9.1.2, 9.1.4 and 9.1.6 channel paths and bus formats, supporting object bed mixing and content creation for fixed auditorium installations. New metering with separated height channels improves clarity, while advanced fold-down controls simplify down-mixing. The Spill function allows precise access to individual path elements, and the FX Rack now supports immersive formats, offering delay, dynamics, EQ, and modulation tools.

System T V4.1 expands its built-in FX suite to more than 60 tools, including Fusion, Blitzer, and Sourcerer. Fusion emulates SSL’s Fusion hardware, integrating Vintage Drive, Violet EQ, HF Compressor, Stereo Image, and Transformer for tonal shaping. Blitzer serves as a compressor with soft saturation to aggressive limiting, while Sourcerer enhances primary source isolation by reducing ambient noise in real time. Additionally, every processing path now includes a compressor Mix control, allowing parallel compression without extra processing paths or DSP.

The Tempest Control App (TCA) now features a dual-screen Channel View, enabling simultaneous control of 32 paths. Users can add two Desktop Fader Tiles for compact setups in portable, remote, or desktop installations.
