RTI has released a new Sonos integration built on the company’s updated search API, verified by the Works with Sonos program. The update is designed to provide improved search and music discovery through RTI control systems.

The driver introduces native search functionality for Sonos S2 devices, allowing users to find albums, songs and stations from RTI touch screens or mobile apps. The integration also enables viewing and launching recently played content, as well as playlist access directly from RTI interfaces.

The driver uses OAuth authentication for secure access to third-party music services and long-term support across Sonos devices. Features include Sonos soundbar and Sonos Ace switching, Night Sound mode for reduced audio effects at lower volumes, and Speech Enhancement with four dialogue clarity levels.

Within RTI systems, Sonos playback can be synchronized with lighting, shading and other controls, creating customizable scenes across all RTI interfaces.
