Grimani Systems announced the release of the MP-84 MiniPort, a two-way, bi-amplified active ceiling speaker designed for high-performance audio in residential and commercial installations.

The speaker combines an 8-inch woofer and a 2-inch tweeter in a precision aluminum enclosure, producing 106 dB SPL with a frequency range of 40 Hz to 20 kHz. Interchangeable 4-inch round or square magnetic grilles allow the unit to blend into different architectural settings.

Each MP-84 MiniPort is powered by a dedicated 300-watt outboard amplifier with DSP-controlled crossover and room EQ. The system is designed to provide phase-coherent transitions, accurate imaging and balanced tonal response across large spaces. Wide dispersion technology supports consistent coverage, minimizing hot spots and dead zones.

For integrators, the speaker includes over-IP calibration, diagnostics and 24/7 monitoring capabilities for remote fine-tuning and reduced service needs. Grimani said the MP-84 MiniPort is aimed at luxury residential and commercial environments, including home theaters, media rooms and whole-home distributed audio systems.
