DPA Microphones announced the U.S. availability of its N-Series Digital Wireless Microphone System, a fully digital, true diversity wideband platform designed for live sound, house of worship, corporate events and installed system applications. The system includes a wireless receiver, handheld and bodypack transmitters, and the company’s new 2024 Vocal Microphone built specifically for the N-Series.

A key feature of the N-Series is its wideband operation from 470–870 MHz, offering users 400 MHz of tuning range, limited only by local broadcast restrictions. This flexibility allows the system to locate available channels in dense RF environments and adapt to shifting frequency allocations worldwide. DPA says the wideband design also supports long-term investment value for rental houses and touring providers.

“We are excited to bring the N-Series to professionals here in the United States,” said Christopher Spahr, vice president of sales and marketing for DPA Microphones North America. “Great sound involves every stage of the signal path, so our engineering team has taken its expertise beyond the microphone to create a wireless system that embodies DPA’s renowned transparent sound quality. In an era of increasingly crowded RF environments, the N-Series provides engineers with unmatched reliability, flexibility and clarity in a true diversity, true digital and true wideband system that’s also simple to use.”

Built as a fully digital platform, the N-Series incorporates high-quality microphone preamps and advanced analog-to-digital conversion. The system’s true diversity design is engineered to maintain a secure, dropout-free connection, and AES256 encryption is included for applications requiring privacy. For remote setup and monitoring, the N-Series ships with the DPA Audio Controller software for PC or Mac. The software includes a full-bandwidth frequency analyzer covering the system’s entire 470–870 MHz range.

The bodypack transmitters feature a rounded design for comfort and are available with either a LEMO 3-pin connector or DPA’s MicroLock compact connector. They support a variety of microphones, including several DPA models. Handheld transmitters use the DPA SL1 thread, which is compatible with many vocal microphone capsules. Users can pair the system with the new 2024 Vocal Microphone as well as the 2028 and d:facto 4018V and 4018VL microphones.

The DPA N-Series Wireless System is now available to customers in Europe and the United States. For more information, visit dpamicrophones.com/n-series.
