Here’s How Christie Turned Yoga Into an Immersive Experience for Casa Boost Wellness

A wellness studio in Switzerland is reimagining yoga classes through immersive projection, thanks to Christie’s Captiva DWU500S ultra-short throw laser projectors.
Casa Boost, based in Geneva, worked with AV integrator Moonlight Drive and creative agency The Good Brand to turn a narrow studio wall into a dynamic visual display. Using two Christie Captiva projectors, the team created a blended 30-foot-wide image that envelops participants in calming visuals such as natural landscapes, galaxies and flowing textures.
The space was designed to offer a deeper sensory experience during meditation and movement sessions. But the layout presented challenges: limited projection distance, load-bearing architectural elements, and the need to avoid casting shadows during full classes.
“The only way to fully cover the projection area without compromising on focus or brightness was with Christie Captiva,” said Luis Guadalajara, director at Moonlight Drive. “Its ultra-short throw capability was key.”

The dual-projector setup provides 5,000 lumens of brightness, WUXGA resolution (1920×1200), and edge blending for seamless visuals. The projectors were installed side by side, covering a wall painted in neutral gray to enhance color vibrancy. Content is projected in 3840×1200 resolution and tailored to each class using a content server with dual output.
Each projector includes a 0.25:1 ultra-short throw lens and operates quietly to avoid disrupting sessions. The solid-state laser light source offers up to 20,000 hours of operation with minimal maintenance.
Despite structural constraints and a tight, one-day installation window, the team completed the project using 3D simulations and advance planning.
“Everything was prepared remotely. We arrived with everything ready, executed in one day, and the results exceeded expectations,” Guadalajara said. “The client was blown away when they saw the final result.”
The project also included ambient audio and automated class scheduling. Equipment was supplied by Christie partner Charmex.
With the upgrade, Casa Boost has expanded the role of technology in wellness, offering what it describes as “pure magic—no filters, no edits, just you and your body in the magical room.”
