BenQ Announces New At Home Cinema Projector W5850

BenQ has launched its newest at home cinema projector, the W5850. The projector, designed for high color visuals and medium-sized AV rooms, projects a 180-degree image.
The projector can expand from a 120-inch to a 180-inch screen, which the company said maximizes screen size in limited spaces.
The W5850 is equipped with a 2,600-lumen laser light and a 1000:1 contrast ratio, along with CinematicColor super-wide 100% DCI-P3 color space, in an effort to allow customers to, as BenQ puts it, perfectly preserve what directors envisioned.
The W5850 is available for purchase at the following retailers: BenQ.com, B&H, ProjectorScreen, SnapAV and ADI.
Individual factory calibration reports allow for 100% Rec.709, Delta E<2, 100% DCI-P3, meaning customers will not have to adjust factory color settings to enjoy the product.
BenQ highlighted port universality as a feature allowing customers to connect various kinds of entertainment. These include the dual HDMI 2.1, two USB-Type A, SPDIF, and eARC, which allows 7.1-channel and Dolby Atmos audio pass-through, transmitting the original full-resolution audio signal to the user’s sound system via one HDMI cable.
The W5850 retails for $6,999.
